Southers Marsh Golf Leagues are open to everyone who wants to play. There are no registration fees or long term commitments. Leagues start the first week of May and run through the first week in October. You may tee off any time on the day of the league, as long as you play with another league member. We also offer preseason leagues in April, so everyone can warm up before the season really starts.

We also send out league results by email and post them to our website weekly (see sidebar).

Monday: Senior Special

$32 entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and a $5 lunch credit. Runs the entire length of our season! An optional $5 will get you into a quota prize pool and birdie pool from April to October. (Monday League is for ages 55 and over)
Not available on holidays.

Tuesday: SMGC Men's League

Our most competitive and popular league. $34 for 18 holes of golf with a cart from the black tees and a great meal. Each player pays $5 for prizes and has the option of entering the birdie pool for $5.

$1 from each player's prize money each week goes towards end of the year prizes and the league appreciation event. To qualify, you must play in 67% of the weeks (15 of 23 weeks if there are no rain outs). Only your best 10 scores for the season count, so the more you play, the better your chances of winning.

Wednesday: Women's League

The emphasis is on fun on Wednesday. $28 for 9 holes with a cart, a great meal, and $2.50 from each entry fee goes towards prizes. Different formats every week ensure that everyone has a shot at winning. Play all 18 holes with a cart for $36.50.

Thursday: Blue League

The same format as our popular Tuesday League except play is from the blue tees. $34 for 18 holes of golf with a cart and a great meal. Each player pays $5 for prizes and has the option of entering the birdie pool for $5 (in the Blue League, each player's handicap must be above 10 to enter the birdie pool).

Saturday Morning Shootouts

Every Saturday morning in June, July, and August, when there isn't a Southers Marsh Tournament being held, we will be hosting a Saturday Morning Shootout at 8 AM. There will be a different format every week to keep things interesting. Please help us grow this league to the point where we can get 30-40 players every Saturday morning. We think this can be a great time for everyone.

This league is only open to Southers Marsh Associate Members, Season Pass Holders, and their guests. Associate members will receive $5 off the regular greens fees for this event, and $10 will be collected from each player to cover prizes. Please sign up by Thursday, as tee times for this prime time will be held until then.

Make-Your-Own League

Southers Marsh would like to encourage golfers to organize their own leagues to play on a regular basis with friends and co-workers. We will pass on our regular league prices to any group of 12 or more players who want to golf on a weekly basis at Southers Marsh.

What you need:

A group of at least 12 players who want to play Southers Marsh on a weekly basis, at least 10 times during the 2006 golf season.

What you get:

  • 18 holes of golf with a cart and a $5 food credit or our regular league meal for $34/player
  • 10% off golf merchandise and Southers Marsh apparel in the Pro Shop to be used for league prizes

How it's going to work:

  • Set up a time during the week that your league is going to play (Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday)
  • Give us the names of the participants (substitutions are O.K.)
  • To hold a weekly time slot, all participants prepay their greens fees for the 10th week. ($34/person) Players can be added as the season progresses.
  • Every time the league meets, we check off your names, and on the 10th week the prepayment is applied to your greens fees. If you want to continue the league beyond the 10th week, you may continue to play at the same discounted rate ($34/person)
  • You are responsible for the scoring of the leagues, prizes, etc.
  • You must call to cancel 5 days prior to your league meeting if you can't make it, rainouts excepted.
