Mike Sullivan won the 2018 Southers Marsh Cup

Club Championship - 12 Players

Mike Sullivan opened up a 5 stroke lead on the back nine of the opening round of the club championship and never looked back as he cruised to a 8 stroke victory over second place finisher Victor Lahteine.

After the first nine, Mike and Victor were tied with 2 over par 33s. Victor hit a rough patch with bogies on 10 and 12, and an 8 on 13 that would ultimately by his undoing. At the end of the first round, Victor and Steve Buffington were tied for second place at 69. Andy Gustin and John Hallissey were a stroke back at 70 so there was a big group waiting for Mike to slip up. Mike didn't let up, however, and cruised to a comfortable victory, even with the threat of immenent rain and unbelievable humidity.

Tony Romano was the most consistent player round to round with a 71-73 that was good for 3rd gross and a 1 stroke victory in the net competition over Andy. Chris Vincent's 67 was good for low score of the second round and slid him into 3rd place in the net.

A big thank you to everyone who played and congratulations to Mike on a job well done!
